Only Here (For Her)

it's times like these
when silence means everything.
the fire's light plays a merriful dance
across eyes that are more wonderful than any.
no words need to be spoken
your smile says all i need to know.
i'll reach for your hand and you, mine,
we'll meet halfway, wanting to be lost all the way.
contentment covers me, fighting amazement
for a spot in my mind.
the amazement wins out and i know this night
has surpassed perfection only due to your presence.
if i have died, please don't resurrect me,
for this truly is heaven, at least mine on earth.
none other can pull my eyes from your beauty,
you hold my vision in your palm and all i see is you.
frozen in time,
focused on this moment,
caught by the slowing seconds,
i forget past and future, knowing only now, only you.
maybe i can't quite relate these feelings,
but i'm praying that my shaking hand tells all.
i don't want to live my life,
i want to live OUR LIFE.
you're so sacred,
so ,
so perfect,
yet somehow mine.

now im alone, but not lonely like before

Wow! My heart just melted and I feel like crying. This poem was so beautiful. If I got a poem like this... man, I would be amazed and totally in love. SO sweet, so pretty. Nice one!

Wow...I really really love this one, it just might be my favorite of yours. Especially the line, "but Im praying that my shaking hands tell all."
