As I Walk As I walk, A young toddler, Not understanding, Not always caring, Happy in my ignorance, I notice, The sapphire blue sky, Filled with fluffly white clouds, The sweet aroma of flowers, Carried on a warm summer breeze, The satisfying splash, As I leap into a puddle of collected rain, Happy, As I walk, A growing teen, Confused about life, Worried about the future, Carrying on in my troubles, I notice, The world is not perfect, In it problems abound, Happiness doesn't last forever, Pain and sadness can replace it, Your first love will not be your last, There will be many more, Troubles, As I walk, An eager adult, Confident in my ability, Hopeful about my life, Overwhelmed by all that lies ahead, I notice, The adult world is difficult, I have to rely on myself, Money is no longer taken for granted, I have to sweat for it, Fairness plays no part in the world, You don't always get what you deserve, Overwhelmed, As I walk, An experienced adult, With a family of my own, And a home I call mine, Content in my love, I notice, How hard my parents worked, Children aren't angels, Why they worked so hard, There is nothing more beautiful than your own child, Love is like a plant, It grows only with attention and care, Content, As I walk, An elderly woman, Not quite as young as I used to be, But not quite willing to admit that fact, Wise in my age, I notice, Laughter is beautiful, It means joy is still around, My grandhcildren, They are so sweet and innocent, Man is mortal, One day I too will die, Wise, As I walk, An old, old lady, Sore, Tired, But happy to have lived, I notice, The sapphire blue sky, Filled with fluffy white clouds, The sweet aroma of flowers, Carried on the warm summer breeze, The satisfying splash, As a child leaps into a puddle of collected rain, Happy. is good to face this things with a sense of poise and rationality |

Hey, This is very nice, I love how you do, "As i walk", at the beginnings, kind of pulls the whole poem together... And i love how you let us have a glimpse of each stage in life, very cool @-->--- |
