The Rainy Day

The day is dark and stormy,
The lightning continues to strike
Trees have been flattened to the ground
Their leaves have fallen and are blowing all around
And the day is sark and stormy

The story of my life is dark and stormy
merciless trials I face everyday
The hardships I face linger on
And thoughts of broken dreams stir endlessly in my mind
And the day is dark and stormy

But Alas! There's no need to dwell on these things
For the sun still shines through the clouds
God knows the plans He has for us
And will get us through the storms of life
Some days must be dark and stormy

Really enjoyed this write. Nice job.

One thing. In the first stanza did you mean 'lightning' and not 'lightnight'? Just wondering.
