a thousand times and
a thousand lies,
but going again even so.
convinced that this time will be
different,
i'll dive head first
into your bittersweet pool,
forgetting to even
take off my shoes.
and when i can finally
come up for air,
all i have left are
stinging eyes and
dripping leather.

"and i'll sit and wonder of every love that could have been
if i'd only thought of something charming to say..."
-death cab

Hey! I'm sorry noone else has commented this. I really liked the imagery in this poem, and I really liked how you spaced it. I hope having one comment on this will encourage others to review, It seems like all anyone does lately is post their own poetry, noone reviews anymore. Anyways, well written, short and succinct, but very good all the same. Hope to see more from You!

You know? I thought you were smart...But you cant see what is directly in front of your face...
