far away from home.

and there’s always that slim chance
but i won’t surround myself
in their greatness.
ocean dreams and beautiful concepts
are the only way i seem
to be getting around lately.
in and out of sun kissed leaves
on the trees
and tan lines underneath the
brightest of lights,
what is fake is always perfected
to become real.
i am the sinner,
i am the laughter.
but nothing is connected when
you are buried beneath
intentions full of dirt and filth
and...
i am half today.
half of her and half of who i
need to be.
save a place for me,
in your heart or on your sleeve.
because remembrance
only comes upon wings of distorted
dreams and dizzy
lines we are always left to read
between.
