I once met a woman wise beyond her years possessed of inner strength not one given to tears I was confused; lost in the light She captured my eye and we slid into the night I asked her for wisdom “I’ll offer what I can” and what she showed me was truth in woman and man Men are seeking a reason a purpose to their lives This they find in women be they lovers or wives Women seek hope for a better life seeking within man as either lover or wife Do struck was I so lost in thought that I forgot for what I fought When I next see her I’ll say I understand That she be woman and I man That she’s given me purpose another reason to live and I’ll ask if she’ll accept all I have to give I’ll be your hope I’ll give it my all and I’ll always be there to break your fall "I am a part of the world that I hate/I wish the end would come faster, my world's a distaster," - Crossfade "Starless" |
