Rigid Woods

Seconds move slower
than most would like to believe
some count by the thousands
but i prefer a pause of silence.
Every half moment
the world stops.
I'll give you the thousand in between,
but I'll keep the slow silent seconds.

so many poems written around time.
but not like this.
this is a refreshing variation.
I commend you.
