far away from home.

friends are gifts.
some walk
with eyes open,
some walk
with eyes closed.
and if
i could teach her
that the
confusion is a
fog
and if i could
teach her that all
innocence is
not lost,
then i would have
beaten their
wounds until there
is nothing left.
and no one
knows but it sleeps
in their
stomachs like a
small disease.
it's curious,
and it's deadly.
it shows
through everything
else,
a winner in the race.

ooh kinda sinister sounding...i like it. the lines about friends were awesome, and the stomach part was my favorite...but i don't get the ending! lol =) oh well, i still love your stuff. you're one of my favorite poets.
