How do I say I am sorry? This I will never know You were taken from me Before I had a go It took me too long To get up the nerve But still you were my friend The friend I don’t deserve I hurt you, made you cry Caused pain, scared you Even now I don’t know why? I did all that I did , up till the day I die It is still a mystery As I am grown up now Now you are nowhere to be seen And still words never spoken. Words surely you were waiting Just to hear me say Some words, to prove I regret By the end I always put it off til, another day. Couldn’t bear the thought, Of your face when I said it. We had problems, and then we fought You had long forgiven me, more than you ought. I owe you more, then you will ever see It was you who was there To save the likes of me Taught me a lesson One I won’t forget Bout the things you say That are never meant One of you left me, the other chose to push me away One of you still loved me, as another was too hurting A another friend who I trusted, couldn’t be my friend Out of that, one of you is gone, the other we are different And she, I have long forgiven, ready to try again. |
