love is not merely tangible.
it can be rarely
passionate but often concealed
and covered in one
another’s emotions.

it can move hands to
places they’ve never been before;
it can venture
eyes to look up at the heavens.

it is light like a falling snowflake
but bold like a
burning sun.
it is about intertwining your souls
and breathing as if
this is the first time
you have ever been alive.

love is about rebirth, gaining
second chances,
and earning magical moments.
it is about daring to spill your guts
and speaking volumes
with your eyes.

it is about meanings within
meanings,
pictures never fading away.
words replacing
more than they should and dancing.
dancing to
tunes and melodies only you
two can hear
and seeing sunsets only you two
can see.

it is about finding your soul mate,
knowing your
destiny is already planned out.
it is in the tone of your voice
and the weakness in your eyes,
open hearts
and easing comfort.

love is about finding your inner
strength,
taking risks, and
never letting go even when the tide
washes you over.

it is about forever.
it is about letting forever exist.
love is about making anything
possible with
your heart and his.
together;
as a whole.
inseparable.

Wow...most people try and write WHAT love is, as in a definition, and in a way you kind of did, but more so described it the best that I've ever heard it described. This is the type of poetry that jumps out at me and I really enjoyed this! I'm going to keep this if you don't mind.

maybe i'm cynical but this seems like more then a few cliches, however that doesn't take away from the power of it...sometimes love is one big cliche, and i'm glad you weren't afraid to use them. haha does that make sense? ah well, forgive me, it's 3:17 am. i hesitated to reply to this for some reason because i am kind of annoyed at love at the moment, but then i step back and realize that love does feel like this, and it takes talent to understand that and capture it so effectively, so i applaud you. you are one of my favorite pip poets.
