I'm right where you left me. Where else.
Come on you say, get real you left so long ago.
But I've been sleeping summers and dreaming winters
and I never did hibernate like the rest of the creatures.

They will like to know, how deep the water was so they can advise against your return there.
Our probable damnation.
Come on I say, get real.
I could snap your plastic smile and make it sound like cheap quick music.

Implusive, required, dominant to reality.

Just what you are, just how you are, sit, they want a photograpgh with you.
If nothing else the veins were always pretty. If nothing else.
Always fasinated, never quite engaged.

A room, a skip, a bloody lip away from the true terrors.
Yet imagination never failed to deliever me past the howling girl in the light green apron.
God knows she's always cooking something.
and when she's done she emerces herself into the kitchen wall, and slips past into the thick woods and eats the berries.

Distinguished face. A body at rest.
And the subconcious dominates.

this is one of your few poems i haven't responded to lately i think, and it's awesome.  you're quicly becoming one of my all time favorite PIP writers, i especially like the line:

If nothing else the veins were always pretty. If nothing else.
