Dispel the insecurities that keep me at bay. My fears no longer restrain me I won't waste Today. Always waited for tomorrow but it never came. I kept playing by your rules trapped inside the game. You thought you had me figured out but I have learned your art. You thought I'd be your courtesan but I won't play that part. Surely there is something better than what I've been reduced to. Like the wind, the rain, the sunshine- I don't belong to you. -- I know, I know, bleh, another rant poem. But at least they keep the juices flowin'. |
