they keep breaking me down; wearing me thin like the cold substance of the white sheets against flurry dreams. and maybe it’s just the fact that i can’t seem to sew back together all my broken dreams, leaving behind the girl with the pretty eyes who once believed. it’s like the stars are forcing me to make a wish and fall, fall so hard, over another night of tired conversations on the things that i should be. not who i am. never who i am. and, just maybe if you could stop making me so lonely. you would be able to see how faded my scars have become. the only thing is, you wouldn’t be able to see how they’re still shining, still hurting. pulsing rapidly, on the inside. remember to breathe after you exhale. |

you shouldnt have to be anyone other than who you are. as for those scars, they may never heal, but you may learn from them, and they will make you stronger |

Let the scars be a reminder that if you could survive a pain so deep, you are strong enough to survive anything. Good write, thank you for sharing. |

Well, first off, reading this poem while listening to Green Day's, "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams," is a very creepy experience! It really is a great poem, and so relevant to real life. Everyone always seems to never see who you are, only that you aren't who they want you to be. I've experienced that too many times. I'd say more, but between Savage's reply and Papa Roach's, "Scars," I think they've got it all covered. I like this part: they keep breaking me down; wearing me thin like the cold I enjoy your writing much... There's no reason I'm oversleeping |
