I can’t do this any more Living in this shallow lie Staring longingly at the door Dying as you suck me dry I can’t give you any more Than you always take I can’t take anymore I’m starting to break I’m sorry I’m not you want me to be But then neither are you You’re not the man I used to see, But just a lie I see right through I’ll never be your puppet; I’ll not bear your strings. Yet I’m no angel I’ve got no golden wings And I can’t save you You’ll have to save yourself And I refuse to feed you; Be your source of material wealth Don’t ask me why I stopped caring about what you need Ask instead, Why your pills mean more than me. Don’t you use my brother; He’s not to be your tool And if it’s me you think you’ll smother Then you’re the biggest fool The more you try to bar my cage The more you fuel my rage The more you try to make me stay, The more you make me see the need to go. So think hard before you ask for more, Because I’ve already got one foot out the door. "I'm burning in the heavens, |

Wow Rich..I'm speechless! Such an emotional write...you have such talent. I feel so bad how much this person has hurt you. Just one question...on the first like of the third stanza did you mean, "I’m sorry I’m not who you want me to be". Just checking. But like I said before, amazing write. ~Alli~ *:.AIM = Alli4000.:* |
