You left me all alone, I wasn’t even three, I’m your flesh and blood, Why don’t you love me? You never call to say hi, Or even on holidays, All I did was sigh, On my birthday the month after may Now I sit here in my home, With my husband and my child, Dreaming of the father of my own, And how your love for me was mild. “Your better off without him” everybody tells me, But they don’t know you like I do, They don’t see what I see, Cause I see a man that needs to get a clue. You’re my father, No doubting that, But now you’re just a bother. And you’re thrown out like an unwanted cat. |
