If the sun shone any brighter, I'd be see through. So thank goodness I'm still visable. Able to lurk in these late afternoon shadows. Will my act fall through. Will my costume be torn to threads, with one word from my opposers lips. I borrow a dress from the hollywood closet. I'm to return it an hour before the play begins. I paint my lips red. The same shade they bled a week before when I realized my love for you. I have my gun. I have my charm. All intact. Before I know it I've killed the lead actress and I'm kissing you, in the finial scene. The curtain drops and I can see the stains on the dress and the blood underneath my finger nails. I don't hide my hands, because this is where I belong. If the moon shone any brighter, I'd be see through and then I'd believe it all was an accident. Wow..! Gotta say, this one left me a little disturbed. Not because of it's content, but because I've felt that way before. A pleasant mix of dramatic passion and lust blending into dark obsession, underscored by disturbing violence. I REALLY liked this one, for reasons i'm not to sure I understand. Great poem, truly! -Rich Winamp is Playing: "Running Out Of Pain" 12 Stones 12 Stones is knowing where I've been ~Rich~ |
