so, so far away causing pain from a distance wreaking havoc on innocence poisoning juice in a four year old's cup half empty, or half full? churning gasoline in a urn outside my door consuming flames spread over the floor so, so long ago maybe last week, maybe last year it's all the same i'm sure angels weeping o'er the grave keeping candel vigil swallowing the toxin of a lying death regurgitating immorality in the face of those who killed opposing sexuality her baby's body chilled so, so tired it never even mattered no one cared at all they stomp on individuality lying to the mirror saying the same words as enemies killing ourselves for innocence running our lives from within empty shells the tiny window's picture's spinning the baby's sleeping he wont wake up the tiny window's picture's spinning the baby's sleeping he'll never wake up cry now, dear child, because tomorrow, the tears wont mean as much. |
