It’s going to be hard to ignore your cries,
But you’ve done it for so long to me,
No longer will you be the one to say goodbye,
This time I’m going to be the one to leave.

In my mind all of our memories rot,
You’ve left them for me to find.
A broken heart isn’t what I’ve sought,
But you had no trouble making that mine.

I traveled alone carrying this burden,
Trying to understand just why,
Every time I gave you my all
Yet in return you simply wouldn’t try.

Long ago you stopped caring about me,
Now it’s my turn to do the same,
I’ll skip past go and become rich,
Because to you this is all just a game.

So no longer will I let you hurt me,
This time I’m going to make it through,
I’m going to make it on my own,
And this time I’m not coming back to you.

I been reading your poetry as well for about 1 or two years and i am enjoying them. Thank you sooo much for this wonderful poem..
