There was a girl name Stacy, Who always looked fly, So the guys would notice her, And keep her in their eye, She wanted to be herself, No makeup, no mascara, Fingers nails not always painted, Just to be her natural self, But this world we live, Thinks quite old, Set in its ways of making Young girls feel cold, Stacy did well in school, Getting high marks and awards, Making it to right college, Everyone thought she was a fool, When she try to do the right thing, It never worked well for her, She felt like she was never perfect, Man she often felt she lived in a hell, She started wearing clothes, Normally worn behind close doors, Wanted to get some attention, So that she could feel secured, But guys will be guys, Stacy felt beautiful, She got love and affection, The homie made her uncool, All she ever wanted was love, The guys wanted some sex, So she left them one by one, In search for her hero in a mask, Home life was not a thrill, Dumb and not perfect, Her parents made her feel, With tears she often react, She made a promise to herself, Get into some big name college, And leave who mock her, And get out from society’s carnage, Listen up people, I am not picking side, There are a thousand more, Where she came from- Each one traumatized. |
