Struggling for peace and love,
Struggling for things you can’t buy,
Struggling to find the strength
To make these gently wings fly.

Lost in a world so defined
By status and by name;
Leaving behind the important things,
Only defined by people and fame.

I want to fly so high,
Spread my wings out far;
Let my spirit be free,
Above the hills I would soar.

But my wings were clipped
By the expectations of today,
Leaving me stranded in this world
And unable to get away.

I’ve lost grip on life,
It’s handle I can no longer hold.
I’ve got to give my life to Him
And let His plan for me unfold.

The handle I held onto for so long,
Now broken and in fragments.
It can no longer help me deal
With the sorrows and pains life sent.

It’s remains I will keep
But no longer will I need.
I’ve lost grip, let go;
They’re not a part of me.

I spread my wings out, let them grow,
Flying through the skies.
I am free now because of Him,
I’ve opened up my eyes.

This poem was written off of a sudden inspiration, i'm not sure what it was but there's alot of symbolism, not sure if you can tell but yeah, any comments and suggestions would be great!
