“I Made It”

My life’s a stand-up show, laughter on joke it goes,
Living really blows when you’re a failure.
Afraid to take a breath, scared it might mean my death,
This heart’s all that’s left of a brave saviour.

I pulled myself up and dusted myself off,
And here’s what I did:

“I paid a visit to a shrink.
Went to several AA meetings.
Took a class in self-confidence.
Sat in on “I Made it” speakings.
Then slowly and bit for bit,
I too could say I Made it.”

I’m so proud that today, I’ll be able to say,
I did it my way and I’m feeling great.
All that helped me to cope, before slipping the rope,
Was an ounce of hope and a drop of faith.

Is a free folder I’ve created.
Where tales from saved “sparks” speaks up,
Telling all about how they made it.

this is good, the topic kinda reminded me of frank sinatra's "I did it my way".

very well done. The ending is interesting, but the chorus is chilling. You do know how to write songs, i'll most definitely give you that. You've been posting them since i can remember.

With you- i play guitar to them. So do me a favor- state what style of a song it is so i can play some sort of riff for it
