Broken Again... I knew this feeling all too well, A re-occuring nightmare each time I fell, I promised myself I'd never hurt, I'd never fall again, Ignored that feeling deep inside, to never let this begin, Counting every minute passing, Leads us to this place, Watching all the hours fading, Empty look upon my face, Why did I let you in my heart, Why did I let you break it, Why do I feel so all alone, I breathe each breath, you take it, Clenching my eyes to hold tears in, You gave me a reason to try, I let you see me, I let this begin Why did you give me a reason to cry? My heart in my throat once again, I can't find the strength to swallow, Another tear falls down to remind me of why I feel so hollow, A hole in this place, An empty sigh, A feeling with no words, No will left to cry, Broken again, Can you hear it in my voice, Falling alone, It's not like I had a choice, I wanted to have a reason, I wanted to fall into place, A wish to turn back time, All marks to be erased, A memory locks those moments, We all choose to forget, A feeling so strong towards those, You wish you never met, A hurt so real you think your dreaming, A pinch, But I'm awake, Emptiness you've felt a thousand times, Caused again by the same mistake, I promise myself I'll never hurt, I'll never fall again, A fake smile and a lie to myself, If only I could pretend... |

Wow. This is such an amazing poem. It really hit home hard. Im really speachless as to what else to say, beautiful piece of art. I especially love this stanza... Broken again, Can you hear it in my voice, Falling alone, It's not like I had a choice. ~ Emptiness you've felt a thousand times, Caused again by the same mistake. ~ I loved those two parts. This was very awesome. WELL DONE. I know so many people can relate to this, heartbreak is part of life, we all go through it, that's the sucky part of love though. Oh wow...I cant beleive i missed this one before. This was an amazing poem, i really love it. I can really relate right now. I "fell" for this guy, and he broke my heart, and so i told myself "never again"...and well you know the rest... I just thought i would reply, and bump this back to the top.... i just got into a relationship recently and we'r falling in love so fast.i kinda got scARED after reading this cos i was previously VERY hurt and broken and just am healing and i truly hope this time will be different.TIME WILL TELL RIGHT? Jesus died that you might live...accept that and u shall be saved. |

thanks for reading and I'm glad you can relate...well not really glad because feeling like this sucks! Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one going through this and it kinda cheers me up that I'm only human and people go through this everyday, I'm just happy I can write about it... I see me frowning in your eyes... |
