“So Many Years” (07/06/04) © 2004 Brian Eggertsen, All Rights Reserved So many years. Can’t believe it’s been, So many years. Time flies by and then, The face within the frame, Gives my sorrow a name… So many tears. Can’t believe I’ve cried, So many tears. I just as well might, Face the fact you are gone, But I am not that strong… STILL I GO ON BEING, ALL THOUGH LIVING IS A FIGHT. STILL I KEEP ON BREATHING, AFTER A BREATH TOOK YOUR LIGHT. IT’S NOT RIGHT, IT’S NOT RIGHT… SO MANY YEARS, AFTER A BREATH TOOK YOUR LIGHT. Looking back now. The boy is a man, Looking back now. Still don’t understand, Thought you didn’t love me, But now I’ve come to see… So many years. Can’t believe it’s true, So many years. I’ll remember you, Every day through your son, It’s already begun… STILL I GO ON BEING, ALL THOUGH LIVING IS A FIGHT. STILL I KEEP ON BREATHING, AFTER A BREATH TOOK YOUR LIGHT. IT’S NOT RIGHT, IT’S NOT RIGHT… SO MANY YEARS, AFTER A BREATH TOOK YOUR LIGHT. So many Years. I’m in your shoes now, So Many Years. I’ll make it somehow, Because to get to you, All that I have to do… Is believe in me, Just wait and you’ll see. There’s a way to win, Even though it’s been. So many years, After a breath took your light. Inside somewhere, I’m still my fathers Son. I’m still my fathers son…. |

Gosh I thought I did reply to this one! lol anyways... Awesome job, I really felt alot of emotion in this one and it's hard sometimes to put so much emotion into words. Great job! Love is giving him the ability to break your heart...but trusting him enough to know he won't. |
