The best night of high school came only 3 weeks before graduation. Senior prom was not what it was supposed to be but then neither were you. A night that could’ve ended in tears was change by a few hours flirting with desire. (Desire that fire, between two "friends" Saturday night.) Prom night was a illusion built on what ifs, but you never have been. You changed my current reality, You were my epiphany. Carefree and honest, one night without regret; with confidence, within that smile I found what I’d been lacking. (A new path began one night after senior prom, a promise (between friends), and hope for the morning.) Monday morning, drunken memories create awkward tension but the night lives on in me. (Your memory of one night could change this; us, taken to a place where . . . could exist.) You cut the strings and freed me from this place, come graduation I’ll think back on this night and thank you; Thank you for making me feel worthy. Senior prom was not what it was supposed to be but then neither were you. +Okay, re-wrote this . . . Any better?+ Life is a moderately good play w/ a badly written thrid act. - Unknown [This message has been edited by Cinderelly (04-29-2004 07:50 PM).] |
