The love is a chemical, Clear and lucid, without distortion, Fingers and hands and sloping backs, And skin that folds and rubs in waves. Lips bloom slowly in works of art With unrivalled passion and precision. Thoughts stop now, soak and shrink And wattle in this bobbing ocean. Everything is weightless, as we Join and fill each other’s gaps, Babble and whimper like lost children, Smile and sigh as one entity. All traces of humanness have surely melted, This strange new blob of flesh and pulse, Is all that now remains. I gasp And fall with your approval. I sputter and shake a lonely engine Refueled, drenched and overflowing. Sighs out, stop and take a breath. Hands in hair and eyes collapsed, Burrowed in our holes of thought, Everything has cleared away, Lucid, soft and sleepy, Beautiful and drained. |
