Our hands blackened by transgression,
Our eyes saddened by pain.
We bear the most unforgivable of sins,
Our salvation we exchange for the world's.

We live among the shadows,
Reaching out for mercy,
Delivering justice
For a world full of suffering.

We can never look away,
Never accept the light.
The destiny we were given,
No other path we can choose.

We've seen how love can kill,
How peace twines with war.
Surely hate can deliver,
Surely strife can bring harmony.

To live among the forsakened,
One becomes damned as well.
But life, sweet life,
We long for her innocence.

Through the ages of man we fought,
The very end we carry fate's fury.
But we wish to turn, to look away,
