A pastel pink house, made with a cannonball heart

I overheard

You still owe me my own pastel pink house
This time, you didn’t strum on your guitar
This time, your warbling voice did not connect with the others
This time, you didn’t save me a dance
This time, was the last time.
I know I never told you

Look at how my eyes fill,

I’m not resorting to past tense.
