What is the purpose of thought Or dreaming for that matter? To bring you a glimpse of hope When the morning greets you with dispair A way to face your fears In otherwise hopeless doubt Or simply a cruel joke Born out of chaos Perhaps it has no meaning at all And we simple attach meaning To give it reason To an otherwise holographic reality What you experience is real What you see is not I wear my scars proudly. They represent the battles through which I have gone, and I am proud because those battles I have won. |

Hoody, great stuff. Good dreams, correct? I wonder if you could write one about the dreams you awaken from in fear...glad to be returning back to this reality? That would be cool. Great poem, once again! P |

Over the years I've found for myself that these questions are not the right ones to ask. Rather, the "purpose" of creativity is to impose upon a void without meaning a meaning all your own. God is a being who does something akin to this. We humans, in his image, ought not to be afraid to do the same. Of course, if you're an atheist then you can still impose meaning on the void Life's short. Think hard! |
