Hiding in rejection's darkest shadows, she shuffles thoughts through winter’s hourglass, Cowering there so alone, and afraid, Patiently waiting for this new pain to pass. Shoulders hunched, head bowed down, Space between respect and neglect so wide, She doesn’t realize her restraining bars Are soft enough, she could move them aside. A soul so worn, with blank eyes forlorn, Shunned from what felt safe it seems. She thought she found her healing grace, Now only anguish escapes in silent screams. So gingerly walking through shards of glass, Tender heart bleeds through a wall of stone, From this cage once she surfaced, Now she will retreat to its safety alone. Those that easily turn a blind eye To see their own amazing day, Shut out her love as well as pain, Now she’s forever turned her gaze away. ~*~ Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me. Mysteria, 'zounds' is what usually comes out when parts of my neural network fuse together from sensory overload. |

Sometimes we need the darkness to balance out the lightness in our lives. This is incredible as is the graphic! |

I AM AMAzed...wonderfully said, wonderfully expressed...and ummm, well, believe me...I DO relate... Until.... Sometimes we need to sit in the dark to finally see the light don't we? One good thing about it is we can shove in behind us, move on, and learn from it all. I move on fast and hope anyone who can relate does too, thanks! |

Sharon, this is sad, yet, it has a positive about it too. When we learn from the dark times, we grow. I just sometimes have trouble getting myself out of those dark and into the light. Hugs to you, sweet lady, Ethel |

it is unexplainable how amazing this made me feel. its like ive finally awoken from the cdrem i have been living. A soul so worn, with blank eyes forlorn, Shunned from what felt safe it seems. I know exactly how that feels. you have such a talent to put such a feeling into words. i feel like such a beginner when i read your work wonderful it took my breath away |

We certainly do impose solitary confinement upon ourselves sometimes... and only we can unlock those bars... Nicely done, Sharon - I enjoyed... |
