thorned roses reach to the sky pleading for perfection given life by death's whims bleeding their colour on the barren ground tainted by our ever broken hearts vines of blackened ivy twisted into frozen fingers begging for an end to their macabre pantomime performed to an audience of sightless eyes an empty fountain stands alone filled only with unshed tears cracks spider across the stone forming splintered words that nobody will ever read gnarled willow branches cry out imploring the emptiness for an end to their eternal winter tree-tears fall onto the withered leaves on the ground trying in vain to bring them back to life the grey sky parts its shroud misty rain whispers down onto the crumbling headstones their inscriptions long faded and the words forgotten waiting for someone to come and lay flowers on the graves |

Your imagery is stunning and so descriptive, I love your poem and can't wait to see more! P.S - I would quote the best bits, but I'd probably just end up using the whole thing |
