I saw the young couple from the south board a week ago, discussing philosophy and sadness I've been here for two months, hanging with this strange crew of forgotten misfits - our lonely vessel the only thing we have in common. Steven loves Sophia now, I can see it in their eyes and I envy them but still I'm strong "Hey," says the voice approaching from behind as I watch the never-ending darkness sway up and down Hi there "What's your name? I'm Devon." Charlie. Charlie Greene. He has that look in his face of fear I've experienced too often "It's dark out here and that's the way I like it - cold and alone." Yeah I bet "Shouldn't you stay away from Sophia?" Why? What's wrong with her? "Well... She's uh taken." Is he really serious? How immature do you have to be "you should only talk" to see women only in sexual "to single girls" terms? Devon came up top to tell me this? Hey! the captain's voice cuts in again It's Virgo! And Orion! More astronomy again I know both Steven and Sophia. "Isn't that kinda awkward?" No. Steven's the only guy on this ship who's anything like me. "And Sophia?" And she's got some good ideas and I'm glad she's found someone who will love her. Life's short. Think hard! |
