you say
you would do anything,
everything
for me.
you do
nothing
to prove it.
do everything
to show me
you can only,
and will only
hurt me.
and your lies;
your bitter,
soft,
perfect lies,
that tell me so many things
i want to hear,
wash over me with your tongue
as everything you say
leaks through your kiss
dripping into me
soaking me through
until there is too much,
too much
to feel.

and then you say it again.
just what i want to hear.
but then you do that again
and again
and i'm left on the outside
watching.
cold and shivering
from the falling drops
beneath the skin
that you left with your kiss.
as everything you do
quickly cuts
and cuts away
at everything you say.
and left in this soaking,
draining,
icy moment,
i do not know what i have done.

as long as we laugh out loud, laugh like we're mad. because this crazy, mixed up beauty is all that we have.

Some relationships leave us with more questions than answer, as you said in your closing lines not know what you had done.
Good write, with some very crisp images.
