This is my prose poem in response to Lovecraft's prose poem Azathoth.  You can read Lovecraft's story here: http://www.mythostomes.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=34&Itemid=70

You wake up wondering where it went, that dream that sang in your veins a couple hours ago.  Eyes focus.  Body definitely placed.  Things coming into perspective.  You see some old books you once swore you'd read.  Future Shock.  Praying with the Psalms.  Relic.

You can look back now and claim you were once in a paradise.  Your chums were with you and you came up with earth-shattering material.  It wasn't really.  But it was fun.  It was rewarding.

And across your bed around you in your room flowing through your head.  Emanating from you.  Nothing.

Life's short.  Think hard!
Me!
