A PLACE CALLED HOME

I try to sit alone
in this dark empty room
trying to get some time
to unwind my mind
I have cried a lot of tears
I screamed, but no one hears
things have really changed
everything seems so strange
this place that I once called home
is a place that made me feel so alone
I really have to confess
everything is such a mess
I've seen people fighting
in a war that no one's winning
this slowly tears me apart
like making a hole in my heart
I can't go back home
I've been through a serious storm
is there some other place
to transfer in some ways?
this darkness that people have cast
I don't know when it'll last
things needed a serious change
seems the dreams are locked in a cage
when will they ever stop this war
leaving everyone with a serious scar
hope that there will be a light
that could make things right
save the place that we call home
change ourselves is what we need alone.

I'm not sure this is considered dark but I guess you can never be too careful. Nice write.

thanks for reading it, midnightdreamer. I wrote this one some years back and I just feel bad about what has been happening about the war that nobody's winning esp. at the middle east.
