Wildfire (revised) The leafy hues have wasted away. Now only the ashes remain to play. Hate-filled flames, conceived of greed, consumed the proud giant and her unborn seed. Even the elders, gnarled with age, their wisdom displaced by insatiable rage. The forsaken folk: Elm, Oak, and Pine, All burned away, by fire so fine. Orchards filled with succulent fruit, torn down by a fiery brute. Not enough laughter; Too many remains. All because of a few forgotten flames. Fire hates all; And gives only grief. |
