Together we walked, Her song in my ear, Hand in my hand, Which she swung to her tune. And at a barren land, Where all lay silent, She stops and stares at the man on the moon. She watches him hang, In twinkling skies, As I swim through her fantasies, Among the stars. And on his pockmarked face, She gently traced, Features from her fairytale mind. And slow but true, His craters move, Cross-eyed, hypnotized, By her whimsical fingers, To form a smile that shines on her, On delicate wings of this glowing night. There she stood, In her little red dress, Soaking in secrets, Of the big blue moon. She melts my heart and I can’t but smile, At giggles of ecstasy, That children achieve, And I long to own her fairytale eyes. |

Hmm... I liked this. It didn't jump out at me like most poems. Instead, it made me think about what I was reading. Others may or may not agree, but this goes in my library! ^^ There is power in the pen. |
