To see me today

Is like seeing you in a million years

To hold me in your arms

Is like a lottery ticket several people are trying to win

To love from my heart

Is as simple as can be

Don't ever say that you can't

It's the one thing that should be free

To wipe the tears from thee eyes you once loved very much

The feeling that tingles as if you never were enough

Alas I have found you hidden, buried beneath and cold

So why has it my love for you, has never grown old?

It seems I love you more and more with each passing day

The love that just kept growing never faded away

But to you I am a sin

That will bring nothing good on my part

How could you have done that to me?

You've ripped out my heart

To have one day ashore the rest at sea?

For ten years I'll await you're glorious return

To see me today

And possibly not be here tomorrow?

So please as I beg you

Live not in sorrow

For have a smile every now and then

Not for the faintest heart

Has our love come to an end

Kate

This poem in a way is a love poem saying that you should be with the one you love and always love them no matter how far away.
