bamboo shadows on the tatami mat a gathering of crows on the fallen snow my bones, the ragged branches of a winter tree sleet at dawn in the whistling wind the sound of water beating against stone my voice, the cry of a loon on a winter sea stir of wind in the river poplars koi floundering in a shallow stream my breath, the train that arrives and departs a white chrysanthemum fading in twilight star at the center of the apocalypse my body, the lily floating in a tunnel of light bittersweet and blood orange blossoms enameled on the funeral urn my ashes, the unborn child in monsoon rain [This message has been edited by JenniferMaxwell (03-31-2008 11:39 AM).] |
