This road that curls at your heart
paved with mysteries
and the lucid drops of dreams
drip on my palms, cracked
with the lines of an ancient map.

This cannot be any harder
for your stars are white and mine,
forever black. They orbit one another
coming so close I feel your light
kiss my neck, we never touch.

Now the moon drips on this skyline
exposing your palace in the clouds
just a light-year away.
Still, I am far too human to fly
and we never touch.

Stranded with these streets, a particle
in this great combustion, you’re simply
too high above  and I'm
yet to be found. With the wings
on my shoulders clipped, I walk

hoping to fall off this earth
where you can catch me, if you want.

I really feel it is worth it, so I am complimenting it…

It is a beautiful write and it takes me high into a midnight space where I reach out and beg to hold, one last time, a beautiful soul that is no longer on my plane of existence…

Thank you for sharing this…
