I am no angel in disguise i do not hide behind a wall of lies Who a i? I am no angel, i am me. Laid out before you i am all that you see. No smiles to mask my never ending pain. Just scars and burns, all cries in vain. for you see i'm just a lonely tortured guide. helping those in need, those who wish to hide. I lend a helping hand and a shoulder to lean on. my job now done you turn to find, i am gone... You cry, sad you couldn't thank me nor know my name. But that is who i am, it will always end the same. I know you want me to be like the angel in your dreams. but i'm not that strong, in the end nothing is as it seems. Was i just a memory? An illusion? A trick of your mind? No matter how hard you try that answer you will never find... you watched me bleed you watched me die you watched me not even a bat of your eye |
