Her cakes are made of mud, Her clothes are torn to shreds, Her once golden hair is dirty brown, She looks a mess to the world. Everyone looks down on her, No compassion or love in their hearts They shun her and avoid her, Feeling disgust, for she is a disgrace. She cries tears of sorrow and pain, For the world she once loved, Has turned against her, just the same, So now she wants to take away the worlds greatest shame. No one knows what she's really like, Nobody gave her a chence, No one knew that she could love, Nobody ever cared. Despite all of this torture, She has still been true to her heart, Her great big heart of gold. She put her trust in God and others, Even if some weren't worthy, She was brave for those who feared, Even if she was scared, too. She was strong when others were weak, She held them up, so to speak. She led them through dark days, Though they never gave her praise, Except to yell and to scream, "Don't you dare touch me!" Each morning began with hope, Of a better life, But by evening she moped, And wished that she could die. Alexandra |
