THINGS YOU WANTED TO SAY BUT COULD NEVER FIND THE WORDS I wish back to better times I think back to our childhood days throwing a football on the beach never once thinking those days would end looking up into the night sky the stars slide into their alloted places As do we in this game of life I sometimes wish Reincarnation is a truth and that we have lived our lives of good fortune and bad that we live each time with a reason how else could we you anyone explain the loss of a life so wanting to live my son runs and jumps he dances and he plays as you did once It makes me think of the frailty of the human soul it makes me wish I had all the money in the world just so I could see you just so I could make things right so far away I wish each and every night that I could return home to surprise you to see you smile my dreams I feel do make me feel the pangs of depression as that day I fear shall not come shall not come I fear in time to mean that much to you for what good is the football when you can not throw it for me to catch upon that golden sand with the heat of the Australian sun burning the skin creating a moment that will last as long as I do I have selfish moments as do all people we are only human after all I wish sometimes that I shall die before you so I would never feel the bitter taste of your passing selfish I know I am only human after all So many memories rush through my mind so mixed a storm within itself I fear can never separate that which was to that which my childhood mind had twisted into being we all do it I am no better than the man standing next to me when it comes time for judgement day we have our secrets we have our scars in the end we have just ourselves for death is a one person event everyone else is just a spectator left behind to remember until their time too does come death is the ultimate fear for most I always thought those that knew their time were fortunate now I fear that death is just that whether you know when your time has come or your step outside your home unknowing for the last time death is just that you never know even with an X marking the calendar you never truly know maybe thats the beauty of life maybe that is its curse but those days on the beach shall never be lost for as long as either of us live the sand still hot underfoot the seagulls screaming into the sky the ocean crashing upon the shore always remembered until our dying days We are only human after all |
