Tuesday April 20th 199, several didn't know what to say at first it started out an ordinary day eleven fourteen am, A lunch began five minutes later, several students ran two young boys tokk over Columbine high several students panicked many cried as the boys walked around holding guns one of them said " This should be fun." a girl was killed because she believed in God a teacher was killed, when he was just doing his job a classroom window sign said "One bleeding to death" as several students were scared holding their breath one knelt down and said " Peek a boo", then shot her in the head and in an instant she was dead one student was shot, seen helping another the survivors still crying, looked at each other a student was uninjured, playing dead by his friends he kept thinking in his mind, I don't want my life to end two teenage students died by a shot one in the head and one in the chest and the shooters just thought " Should we kill the rest?" three more students died, being shot in the chest four more were killed by a shot in the head why is it like this?, so many dead two more were shot, one in the head and one in the neck the students still alive, saying in their heads, " Is it over yet?" twentyone students were hurting with wounds several of them asked " Will it be over soon?" a few hourse later, the massacre came to a fall and by the end fifteen died in all this happend April 20th 1999 now you tell me- whats going through your mind? This poem is true, just about every detail in this poem happend in real life and I'm sorry about in the beginning its suppose to say April 20th 1999 not 199 sorry but I hope someone out there likes it it was really hard for me to write and it took me about a month to write it. When I heard about this I was affected by it alot and thats why I wrote this poem Kate |
