They looked in your eyes

They told you goodbye

but is that really all you had to say?

You wanted something more, to be okay

when you saw them driving down the road

think about it, did your time together feel like gold?

You think back to all the happy memories,

football games, soccer practice, hanging out til after three

all the friends that they had over

told them to settle down over your shoulder

everytime when they went out somewhere

you said don't be late, I'll be waiting right there

now all those times are coming to an end

but when there children are grown they'll be saying the same things over again

So treasure the times you have left with the ones you love

Don't blink, because sooner than you know it,they'll be just like you

So spend as much time with them as you can ask them what they want to do

time flies by

and of course we cry

but make every moment last

because before you know it, you're time has passed
