You were never there

did you even care?

Until one day, you finally had a chance to say

I'm really sorry, please forgive me

theres a part of me I never wanted you to see

I have some problems in my life

and I'm over here trying to make things right

just wanted to let you know,

that I never want to let you go

that I love you

and I'm trying so hard to make it through

baby just believe we'll be together someday soon

I have a confession

I have depression

and thats why I had to leave you

and your sister too,

I have some problems in my life

and I want to make things right

baby I'm sorry, but you know its true,

baby I love you

This poem is very personal its about my mother, I haven't seen her in 5 years and I really miss her, she called me the other day and said she misses me alot. The reason why she left me was because she has some problems- depression, anger management and a few others, she lives out of state and this poem is her telling me she still loves me

well doll, I hope that you continue to keep some relationship with your mom... I had ostrasized my mom from our family due to her drug and alcohol abuse and she ended up calling when she was dying (years after I'd last spoken to her). I watched her over the last few months of her life as she quickly deteriorated. I am sad at the decision I had made to turn my back on her because I keep thinking I may have been able to 'fix' her (I know that is silly). Anyway... I feel you on this one. I like it.
