in shadows
ever-present
heart in forfeit
seldom seen
shroud of
somber
circle cast in
solitude

she wanes...

enfeebled by her
care-too-much
of all but
one...

forgotten...

solace
found in
veiled
tears

she weeps...

silver drops of mercury

boring wholes in cement

wiping hand to cheek

she looks ahead
