The child sits still as stone, Her screams still echo’s of the blood stained halls, As her eyes go from blue to white, She speaks in the voice of the dead. I see the empty future, I see the shattered dreams, The bodies left broken, Blood gushing down in streams. This is the toll we pay, These wounds never to heal, Creatures of death left to stalk the living, Tortured souls forced to bow and kneel. White fires forged by destruction, Burn cold upon the heart, The ravaged sorrows awake deep within, Seems demons of despair have finished there art. She wakes yet the dead stay with her, The war will rage upon are heart, The shadow riders of death start there flight. Our children ripped from there parents, Sold into the slavery of war, or… killed, Well the women are stolen, rapped then killed… Or worse Rapped and left and left alive, And left to seek there own death. These are the horrors unspoken and yet to be seen, Fear seeps into the minds of men, They run and are killed, There still beating hearts ripped from there chest. The fires burn our people’s homes, Leaving there lives to ashes, Thousands of refuges run, Towards a mountains haven, Only to be cut down by the soldiers. All this yet to happen, As the poisoned glory thoughts, Of corrupted old men, Take hold and the country’s beneath them fall. The power of kings… Falls towards the death of its people. We ask you what will you do or is it too late? The world behind these thoughtful eyes, caution may seem crazy. [This message has been edited by Abbeon (10-18-2007 05:37 PM).] |
