on a distant shore at summer’s end a solitary figure walks the beach of faint regrets and what must be, combs the sand to find the pearl of dreams lost when life demanded practicality guide the course of footprints in the sand. like the moon, the pearl of dreams controls the tides of mood and cycles to such degree that all will bleed remorse regret for roads not taken in carefree days when all routes were yellow brick and we, the wizard, breathed the air of immortality. |

"combs the sand to find the pearl of dreams lost when life demanded practicality guide the course of footprints in the sand." Those lines indicate that the pearl of dreams was once before found and then lost?!! I mean, I think a thing such as that could not be found easily, if what you meant was the dreams accomplished in life. If it meant dreams of a child, and innocence, then your poem makes wonderful sense. i like the image you pictured. it is soft and calming yet, very sad in some sort of way. Tears of Sanity~ |

That poem invokes the comfort of individualism and I find it breathtakingly refreshing, your words seem to have meaning as if each word was pondered over before being set to life. Abbeon |
