What Else Can Love Do

“One day”
will find me waiting,
with battered heart
and glued together dreams.

What else can love do.

I sit quietly
And watch lovers
walk in the park.
I whisper a prayer.

What else can love do.

Cold winds blow,
the seasons change.
As the clock waves
its hands at me,
I wait.

What else can love do.
