My Baby Bird

In my own private hell...(PA).

{For my daughter...I miss you.}

My baby bird

had the most beautiful wings.

She stretched them wide

and headed confidently into the sky.

But then, with a single blink of my eye

the winds of life took her flight.

I helplessly watched her try,

struggling and flapping with all of her might.

But the storms raged on

and no matter how far I reach into the sky

I can not bring her back from the chaos beyond.

My baby bird

help me understand these things.

Tell me how

to mend

your broken wings.

Ahhh this is so sad... Did you lose your babt too? one of my friends just did, I don't know what to say to her. I thought you expressed your emotions well. my favorite was the last lines..

Thank you for your kindness. I lost her but not like you think. She was put into a lock down for her behavior last Monday. She seems so lost in so many ways and I miss her.
